To succeed in this step, you need first to gather all the evidence that confirms that you have a right to returns on your deposits from the landlord. Before you apply for a court action, inform your landlord of your intentions, and he or she might speed up your return of your deposits. If the landlord fails to give the return at this stage, file a claim in the court and the landlord will be forced to return the deposits, and in some cases, he is ordered to pay additional damages.
